Fr. Matthew graduated from Cedarville University in 2008 with a B.A. in Music Performance. He enlisted in the United States Army as an Army Bandsperson and was stationed at Fort Knox, KY. While at Fort Knox, he began his seminary studies at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity, 2014; Master of Theology, 2019; Doctor of Philosophy, 2019). He commissioned as a Chaplain Candidate in the Army in 2012 and served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 2012–2015. He was stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base, MO, and currently serves as an AGR Chaplain at Westover Air Base in Chicopee, MA.
Fr. Matthew was ordained to the Diaconate in 2019 and the Priesthood in 2020.
Fr. Matthew wants to do his part to build Christ’s one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church through the regular and faithful teaching of the Holy Scriptures. Specifically, his goal is to exorcise the spirit of Marcion from the Church by teaching the Old Testament. His greatest desire is to leave an orthodox Anglican church for his grandchildren. He and his beloved wife, Karli, have been married since June 2012, and have three daughters with two more children on the way.
